We cultivate curiosity to discover new ways of seeing & solving.
Elizabeth Talerman
Founder, Principal
Where others see limits, Elizabeth sees possibilities. Whether it’s in a class of graduate students, a business on the cusp of change or a social movement waiting to be born, Elizabeth has the rare ability to glimpse what others are capable of, then equip them with the tools, knowledge and confidence to achieve their own ambitions.
Elizabeth is a graduate-level teacher, four-time entrepreneur, corporate board member and MacArthur Foundation grantee. As founding partner and CEO of The Nucleus Group, Elizabeth works with organizations around the world to empower leaders, accelerate growth and catalyze change.
Liz Yap
Strategist, Writer, Editor
A joyous pathfinder with a sharp eye, Liz follows her curiosity into new places – asking meaningful questions, clarifying complexities, and playfully pointing out typos along the way. Central to her work is the belief that good communication is what makes it possible for good ideas to take flight.
Liz spent years as editor-in-chief of a food magazine in her native Manila. As a strategist with a focus on naming and verbal identity, Liz has partnered with a range of clients, including Uber, Mejuri, and Warner Bros. Discovery. She earned her Masters in Branding from the School of Visual Arts, where she received the Brand Master award for leadership and strategic thinking.
Whitney Bounty
Strategist
A former professional ballet dancer, Whitney takes on each challenge with an assured graceful grit. Her wonderfully wayward career has taken her through the fields of dance, art and design, marketing, and strategy, but is at its heart an ongoing exploration of expression and a rigorous search for connection.
Prior to joining Nucleus, Whitney was the Creative Director and Brand Manager at Freeman’s, America’s oldest auction house. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with an honors degree in English and a minor in Art History. She holds a Masters in Branding from the School of Visual Arts, where she was honored with the Paula Rhodes Award for academic excellence.
