FOOD: Bolo de Fubá (cornmeal cake) ORIGIN: Brazil STORY: This delicious and easy cake is perfect with coffee in the morning or afternoon. Bolo de fubá is highly customizable, so don’t be shy getting creative with toppings or additions (i.e. the author loves a little cinnamon sugar on top). RECIPE: Oven @ 375°C (About 250 3 eggs Salt to taste 200 ml milk 100 ml vegetable oil 300 grams sugar 200 grams cornmeal 200 grams flour 1 tbsp baking powder Orange zest (optional)
Combine all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Can also be done by hand, but mix must have no lumps. Pour into a buttered and floured bundt cake pan. Bake for 40 minutes. Let sit in pan for 5-10 minutes, then flip and remove.
